Oftentimes we think that we must put up our own resistance against a front that some other person creates against us. Being a bit combative can be thought of a slightly sexy...but it's really not. But actually, there is only one thing that breaks down walls: being gentle.

We are living in a harsh world. No doubt are there major acts of true bravery, fervour, faith and heroism that run through the brooks of hate - but the truth of the matter is those acts of hate themselves really begin to place a great strain on our minds. Our past impedes us from living in the present, turns us into pessimistic beings on occasion and our built view continues our story till we or some other person comes in helping us break out of that cycle. This disbelief about life and humanity can be fantastically hard and damn near impossible to fight. But that is the point.

You really aren't intended to fight it.

You...are meant to have a soft touch.

We require more people in this world who are tough enough to be incredibly gentle.

To truly love without condition. To give themselves regardless of being ungiven to. To give the world their best, day in and day out without any expectancy of return. We need a load more of those people in this world. As I've found through this journey, life isn't about expecting a return. The times I have felt myself unhappiest were the occasions when I had expectancies for those around me. Shakespeare himself asserted, "Expectation is the root of all heartache." He sure appeared to have it right. When we predict other people to do certain things or act certain ways we are going to often be disappointed. Don't expect. You can only control yourself.

Never let somebody else's approach about life negatively impact your own.

Take into account that everyone seems to be going through something or other. It's easy to be hard on people. But I know that isn't why I am here. I have been hard on others ...in the past. But now I'm sure that my only job is to keep to my values and go all through life spreading kindness and light. What other folks do is none of my business. Sure some of it "happens" to me, but that makes it even more important to stay true to what I do.

You cannot go through life by avoiding having experiences and deep relationships with others. You have got to put your heart on the line and learn. Don't waste time fretting about things that were not built for you. Not everyone is going to like your brand. They can tear you apart, spread filth, and in numerous cases take things to a completely new degree. A degree that only promotes hate.

Hate breeds more hate.

If you've ever felt it deep inside, you know precisely what I really am talking about. When you harbour hate in your heart, you start hating other things as well. While the web is just one out of the many methods people can deliver hate with, it does serve as a pretty clear example of how things are going in our world today. We have created a system in which hate has the complete protection. Being able to hide behind a user name almost guarantees that the comments themselves will not ever see the forces of accountability for its actions.

In the face of this almost overwhelming raging ocean of hate, we need to press on.

Why?

Because we should endorse what we love ...rather than bashing what we hate.

I am not delusional about the world. I am not that funny guy on the news who is hilariously known in his neighborhood for being Mr. Happy literally 24/7. That sort of unbalanced one-way lifestyle is unhealthy for you. I have my horrid days. I have days where I find myself in a conflict between love and hate, acceptance and shutting off, and these are days when I am going to fight. These are days when I'm reminded of what I have a belief in. Regardless of how hard it can be.

The dose the world wishes in a continuing drip, is support.

Many people need to be encouraged for what they are doing, for failing and trying again, for giving a great effort and moving forward. It is not about removing hate from the world, It's truly about balancing it out with acts of love. The world, like ourselves, can get misaligned and thrown off once in a while. Others will start to see the very worst of everything because frankly, that's what we are shown. We are continually subject to the bad stuff. Flick on the TV. Automobile crashes, 10 dead at college shooting, riots, disruption in nations all around the planet, large coverups, violations of privacy, oil spills and nuclear meltdowns. With all this, no wonder we have a pessimistic view of what is happening.

I suspect that a steady drip of love and inducement can change lives. It significantly changed mine, so why can it not change others?

The ripple effect you can have on the world is way beyond your comprehension. Hell, I I really don't even know. But I have deep faith that it is occuring. You can turn someones day around in a moment.

Inspire those around you. You won't agree with the exact way in how they are doing it, but don't step on them for it. People need to learn their way. Frequently we have the best intentions when making an attempt to help others, but in the end, everyone has their own journey to walk. Walk with them, don't try to take the rug out from under them.
