Explanation Of The Bible Scriptures To Christians

Explanation Of The Bible Scriptures To Christians

By Elsa Noel

There was a time in the New Testament when Jesus rebuked some religious leaders by asking them why they have not read the scriptures. This excerpt is from the book of Mathew 12:3, 5; 19:4; 21:42; 22:31. Probably the people who had been rebuked had continuously read the respective passages several times but were not fortunate enough to give a proper explanation of the bible scriptures.

A believer should read distinctly and gain the sense of it. Getting the cause of it will enable them to finally claim that they have understood the information. Christianity is centered on gaining an understanding of Jesus teachings and the scriptures. The Bible is read so as to comprehend and discover meaningful teachings that have been placed for us by God.

Nowadays we do live in troubling times where Christianity is on a path of recession. The love of God is being substituted more by the desire for pleasures and observation of outward formalities. Many Christians are learning from guest speakers, attending seminars, holding Bible studies, teleconferencing, C. D ministries, radio programs and television shows.

There are times you might converse with your family, a friend or a neighbor in a conversation involving the scripture and the response might be quite vague. Some of bible scriptures contain teachings that you will have to view with an open mind to decipher. The guidance of the Holy Spirit will provide understanding. The Bible in Psalms 119:11: "I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you." The understanding of scripture requires the reader to be able to paraphrase it and applying an open attitude and you will be able to understand more of God word.

Present in the holy book are many concepts and words with many with meanings that vary in application and meaning. For instance during the biblical times in the old testament king Jehoshaphat appointed the various chiefs of Israel as well as Levites to be able to solve disputes that were within Gods law. In the New Testament there are also areas of conflict in this scripture. If Philip had not met the Ethiopian eunuch and given him the proper interpretation, he would have gone back to his country still ignorant irrespective of his heart being rightly placed.

Even some of the conservative clergy will pick a random quote from the Old Testament and spurn up a sermon with very little connection or none at all. The pastoral teachings are politically tailored to mirror on success prone interpretations of particular scripture. They aim to make the Bible look more flexible to the modern day world. Manipulation of scripture is a widely practiced in mainstream debates and organizations.

It will be really unconvincing for someone who does not believe in this holy book to claim that they have an understanding of the scriptures. When the scriptures are viewed as annals of history the spiritual dimension will be non-existent. The believers who take it as the word of God himself providing nourishment may get more of truth that lies within.

Jesus used to be very particular in judging the clergy then who would criticize his disciples of being spiritually ignorant. The particular instance is when they plucked corn so as to eat on the much revered Sabbath day. Explanation of the scriptures can be gained from people who are take Bible as a holy religious book than those who view it as a historical book.
