Amateur Sports, Semi Pro Football and Las Vegas Youth Baseball

You won't have to be a pro to like playing sports in Las Vegas. There are a good deal of great amateur sports in Las Vegas for children and grownups looking to join a team and get active. Some opportunities let players hone their abilities and work for more challenging sports feats, while others are simply there to let players play and have a great time.

Youth Baseball

The area's year-long pleasant weather makes Las Vegas a legitimate hotbed for youth baseball and amatuer teams. Las Vegas youth baseball squads are among some of the top traveling leagues in the country, competing and winning many renowned competitions. Top Las Vegas youth baseball players can improve their abilities at the LV Baseball Academy, which offers year-long instruction and traveling teams for youth players eight years and older. The academy also puts on contests which attract top attention from around the country.

Youth Soccer

Youth soccer continues to grow as among the preferred amateur sports in Las Vegas. Top girls and boys soccer players in the Vegas area can join clubs by the Nevada Youth Soccer Association, which also hosts the annual State Cup. Indoor soccer is an alternative way for youth players to get your kicks; the Las Vegas Indoor Soccer Center hosts indoor soccer leagues for kids throughout the year with the US Indoor National Championship.

Kickball

Kickball isn't only for youngsters! Adults can love playing this pleasant retro game in leagues all though Las Vegas. The World Adult Kickball Association has 1 or 2 leagues in Vegas. Players can join groups and play weekly games while enjoying post-game food and drinks at league sponsor bars across Las Vegas. Vegas has a selected connection to competitive kickball. It is the home to the annual kickball World Championships, which pulls 64 groups from around the country and pays the winning team a top prize of $20,000.

Hockey

While you won't think about Vegas as being a place for ice hockey, there are many techniques for grownups and kids to hit the ice and play some hockey. You can suit up at the Las Vegas Ice Center, which hosts adult and youth leagues together with leagues specially for for girls. It also hosts an introductory league that gives kids an opportunity to learn the sport.
