The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Giant Bean Bag Loungers

The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Giant Bean Bag Loungers

By Sherry Parker

There are many differences between normal chairs and sofas and bean bags. Shoppers generally are drawn to bean bags due to the fact that they can be used in variety of different ways. Nonetheless, it is wise to look at both the advantages and disadvantages when shopping for bean bags for your home.

Pros:

1. As I discussed before, these sacks are flexible. You can quickly position them into whatever shape you like. For instance, some people prefer seeing movies on their foam-filled sacks, while others use them to work on the computer or finish homework. They are also useful for relaxing or playing video games.

2. A number of bean bags like the Lovesac have a removable enclosure that can be cleaned in a basic clothes washer. This makes them easier to keep clean, and it also reduces the price of laundering as well. Bean bags with removable covers tend to look better for a longer period of time and owners don't have to stress over dirt and stains as much.

3. Bean bags are easy to relocate. Unlike a heavy sofa, a sofa filled with beans or lightweight foam is much more convenient to move. In minutes, you can carry a beanbag down the stairs or outside to the patio. Furniture that is easy to relocate generally get used more often and therefore can decrease the requirement to purchase more chairs or sofas.

4. Bean bags can be used by everyone: grown-ups, children and cats or dogs. Since there several shapes, sizes and fabrics available, each person can get their own pillow sack unique to their own wants. For instance, there are furry covers, microsuede covers and even leopard print covers. Sumo Lounge offers many different colors and fabrics to choose from. On top of that, if your dog has its own bean bag bed, you don't have to worry so much about her climbing on your expensive couch.

The Downside:

1. If you like a relaxed look, buy a bean bag. They do not usually fit in a formal living-room. This restricts their use to more laid-back living areas. They are more useful in dens, casual work spaces and loft apartments.

2. This type of furniture is not designed for those who do not like sitting lower to the ground or who have problems getting out of a seat. Even though a large number of giant bean bag loungers and sleepers are actually elevated, they can still be harder to get in and out of since they do not have a stationary structure to grasp.

3. Keep in mind that pillow sacks do not provide much support. If you lenjoy sinking back into your seat, you will probably like bean bags.

4.Their moldable design makes them consume a significant amount of room. In fact, some giant versions cannot fit through a small door.

Make sure your bean bag chair will actually fit in the space you are thinking about. Seriously. Also, it's a good idea to get a piece that offers a removable enclosure for much easier cleaning.

More issues to think about are that tough fabrics will hold up longer, especially for families with several kids or pets, and darker fabrics show less stains but may show more pet hair. Several larger and more modern styles, like the Fuf chair or Jaxx Pillowsak, are filled with a high quality memory foam that does not condense down after a while. These styles tend to keep their shape longer.
