What Kind Of Water Should You Be Drinking?

What Kind Of Water Should You Be Drinking?

Towns and cities go to great lengths to confirm that their citizens' water supply is safe and clean. Millions of dollars go into cleaning water, maintaining water pipes, and monitoring potential threats. Some areas require water filters and others do not. Every once in a while, something goes wrong and people suddenly realize how important water is to them. But usually, that doesn't happen. We drink and cook and bathe freely without a second thought.

Water Demons

You may also find that the water in your area is great for your body. If it is purified and has added fluoride, you can be sure that you are getting a great combination of chemicals and minerals to keep yourself healthy.

Plug your bathtub first before drawing any water. It will start out cold but as long as you adjust the temperature as it fills up it will still end up being a comfortably warm temperature. As bathtubs can use up to 70 gallons of water, shorter showers would also be much more efficient.

Side Effects

But what are the actual consequences of this type of water contamination? The answer: sickness or even death. However, luckily, it doesn't always end so grimly. Symptoms may come on slowly and provide warning signs. For example, stomach problems like nausea, vomiting, cramps, and diarrhea are common. Other times, the consequences are immediate. For example, exposure to E. coli will hit seriously and fairly suddenly. Your water supply will be an instant suspect in such a case.

When you pick up a plastic bottle full of water in the grocery store, you may want to think twice about drinking the water. When water sits inside a plastic bottle, some of the dangerous toxins from the plastic can leach into the water. You want to make sure that you are drinking water from glass or from a filter to ensure that you are not getting the chemicals that you can get from bottled water.

The best way to avoid getting sick through your water supply is to be informed and maintain it properly. Do you know exactly where your water is coming from? Is it in proximity to any septic tanks or toxic waste storage? Are herbicides or pesticides used in the surrounding area? Is your piping system clean, secure, and well-maintained? These are all important questions to ask yourself.

While you are looking through your water options and doing research, it is important that you know all of your options. If you have subsurface water in the area, you may want to look for a way to get access to the water. Subsurface water can be a great way to get the minerals that you need without getting any toxins. No matter what type of water you decide to drink, you should be drinking enough on a daily basis to keep yourself hydrated. Make sure that you drink enough for your body and that you are drinking it consistently throughout the day.
