Using unique feng shui, a home can not only the decorated properly, but also provide the good flow that puts people in a good mood and makes them feel great. It can make all the difference in how people act within the space, how well they rest, and how they function.

This is a concept that was developed over 3000 years ago in China. The idea is to balance the energy within a particular space, which will eventually bring good fortune and good health to those who follow the vision. It's all about balancing the wind and water and understanding that the land is filled with energy.

Certainly, people can use tools to analyze the energy that exists. Through the proper use of the tools, they can interpret various bits of information that can help them improve their lives. In this practice, everything is measured, from a color scheme to the placement of furniture, and the air quality as well.

A good example in Feng Shui is the placement of a home office desk. The individual working should be facing east, which would make him or her much more productive and focused. Placing it in the opposite direction would hinder that focus and productivity. The head of the bed also plays a huge role in how a person feels during rest.

Do not misunderstand this concept with decorating using oriental objects and statues. Instead, any style can be used, so long as there is a perfect balance between the Yin and the Yang. The Yin is feminine energy, which can be translated into feminine colors, flowers and soft patterns and fabrics. The Yang is the opposite.

Air-quality is one of the most important aspects of this concept. Let fresh air and by opening Windows daily, regardless of the temperature. Purify the air using modern air purifiers, or traditional purifying plants. Also, use natural scents, as with essential oils to stimulate the senses and improve the mood. For instance, orange brings a sense of joy or happiness, where as rose is about love.

Next, turn the front door into something capable of receiving positive energy by removing obstructions from the walkway. The address should be clear and visible from the street. Moving indoors, be sure to add color. Color is what provides good health, but it has to be the right color palette, with colors that are warm yet reflective. This is done through paint as well as accessories.

A happy home is a clutter free home, so remove all clutter. Donate anything that isn't user hasn't served a purpose in a year. Place the furniture in a way that provides comfort as well as safety. Be sure that the largest piece in any room his positions in such a way that can see the door. In doing so, it brings a sense of security as anyone can see who enters the room.
