Atlanta Squirrel Removal Can Solve The Problem If They Invade Your Attic

By Dave L. Weglin

If there are just a few of these little critters getting into the bird feeder, chomping on tulip bulbs or scampering across the lawn, they are rather cute. Their fluffy tails blow in the wind as they perform their astonishing walks across the electrical wires. However, when there are too many of them in one area, Atlanta squirrel removal becomes necessary.

The gray squirrel is named for his gray fur. Some anomalies in color are the black or albino ones. Average weight is one and one-fourth pounds. They balance on telephone wires by using their bushy tails.

Their bushy tail is like a rudder as they swim through the water. It is not generally known that squirrels swim. Their strong teeth continue growing through their lives.

They live for about five years ordinarily. If they are in captivity, they can live for up to twenty years. Natural predators are hawks, owls, raccoons and feral cats.

It poses a serious health risk if they invade your attic. A professional removal service will be required to get them out. They carry diseases, encephalitis for one. After an inspection, the experts will devise a plan to remove them.

They are captured in live traps. Then they are taken to a wildlife area and released. After the removal is complete, there is a clean-up that will be necessary. Finally, the home must be reinforced against future invasions by the little critters.

The problem will continue if that is not done because they leave pheromone scents in the attic. That scent attracts more squirrels to try to get in your attic. Exclusion methods prevent them from doing so. Cracks are sealed and the chimney covered with strong screening.

It is important to get them out for health purposes. Their urine and droppings are unhealthy to humans and the smell can become bad. In addition, they are known to carry parasites.

So, if there are scratching noises up above that disturb you during the night, it may be attributed to squirrels. You may have other rodents up there as well. Mice and even rats can share space with them.

A pest-removal service can take care of all the critters. They have motion activated cameras that can identify them. Each species is dealt with differently.

Rodents are all quite skilled at getting into an attic through small spaces. They create havoc with anything stored up there as well as electrical wires. Call in the experts and they will get rid of the problem for you.
