A List With The Best Drinking Card Games

A List With The Best Drinking Card Games

On occasion, you might find yourself hosting a party and in need of entertainment options. Party games are the go-to solution for infusing some fun into the atmosphere. A little alcohol with these games never hurts either. Luckily, drinking card games combine both of these ideas into an even better one. Countless 2 player drinking card games are available, depending upon your preferences. Tons of games are available that can include dozens of players, too. Either way, you'll need to consider what your specific party needs for success.

There are so many of these card drinking games, each with their own merits and probably each with a certain time of the evening to be played, with some designed to just "loosen up", whilst others are more hard core.

A very straightforward game to get the event going is one simply called kings. This can easily be played in a public bar or in a private dwelling, just as long as there is a variety of alcohol to hand.

Basically each player is dealt a card and the first person to receive a king picks a drink of their choice. The second player to turn up a king then selects the mixer to go into that drink. The third player receiving a king then either makes or buys the drink (depending on your location), before the fourth person has to drink it. In some cases the same person can end up having to do all 4 if they are unlucky enough to be dealt all for kings.

Drink The Difference

The dealer will give a card to himself as well as the other player, and the player (not the dealer) will have to drink the difference of the two cards. So, if the dealer's card was a five and the player's card was a ten, then the player would have to drink five drinks. If both the player and the dealer receive the same card, both need to take a drink.

Queens

The aim is to simply guess whether the next card turned over on to the top of the "L"will be red or black, if correct they move on to the next card, if not they are forced to take a stipulated drink.

It carries on alternating between red and black and higher and lower, but each time you guess incorrectly, you have to return to the top of the "L".

It is over once you have got to the other end of the "L" or you go through the whole pack, in which case you probably need to go for a lie down!

High Low

So, the next time you're stuck in a rut because your party is boring, try some drinking card games for two or even for a larger group, to liven it up in a snap.
