The ultraviolet rays are continuing to have serious effects on the world today. Those who have been victims have an experience to share. Others are yet to learn their lesson and they continue basking without minding the repercussions. They forget the misery they would have to go through one the effects start showing. Basking gives one an opportunity to get vitamin D. However; the disadvantages that arise from this are left untold. For ages now, natural tan has been used to achieve the expected results. It consists of two types of rays. The most common, that is, the ultraviolet radiation is the main cause of the effect of tan that is felt on the skin. These rays make their effect to be experience on the lower part of the skin.

This is by stimulating the melanomas to produce melanin, a skin pigment. The melanin that is produced during this time is what causes the tan. This process takes some bit of time. That is the very reason why one can not achieve a tan within a day. To get the melanomas, it takes one about two days or so. After that, the melanin production takes place within a few hours. When one gets used to this process, it takes around seven consecutive days to achieve the final desired results.

Sunbathing has its own harmful effects to the one doing so. Its effects however depend on several factors. The time that one spends basking is the main factor. The longer one stays the more the effects. Burning, blistering and swelling are some of the things that may happen to a person basking out there. The heat regulations of your body end up getting affected. At the end of it all, one may end up falling sick.

Skin cancer is another very bad effect of sunbathing. It is a disease no one would desire to ever get infected of. Over the past few years, it has become quite widespread all over the world. Those who have pale skins are more prone to contracting this disease. Hence, one has to use sun blocks to prevent this problem.

Wrinkles are becoming one thing that those exposing their skins during summer are likely to get. This is due to the collagen of the skin being destroyed. It makes the skin age at a faster rate. Since it can not be reversed, it is better for one to avoid sunbathing at all costs. One can also use sunscreens to prevent the adverse effects of these rays.

Summer is a time that many long for, so that they may go out and enjoy the warm days. To some it has become an addiction which may end up causing some their dear lives. Though, if done once in a while, it is not an issue.

Everyone should be made quite aware of this so that he or she may not fall a victim. You must make correct choices. This is especially in cases dealing with Tanning Sun.
